Product Overview
When Davey, a restless thirteen-year-old, defies his guardians to attend a local fair, an afternoon of stolen pleasure spirals into a perilous flight from the law. Penniless and hunted, he and a cunning companion stow away aboard a coastal schooner bound for the Welsh coast, where a limestone cavern known as Hoyle’s Mouth conceals more than smuggled contraband.
Eerie cries and phantom lights haunt the cave’s twisting passages, but the true danger lies in the ruthless band of criminals who use superstition as their shield. Forced to choose between betrayal and a desperate bid for freedom, Davey must navigate treacherous tides, a menagerie of escaped beasts, and the ghosts of his own making to find his way home.
