    The Early Work of a Pulp Legend

    This collection contains some of the earliest work by Harold Lamb, and yet even the first of his tales is a professional historical fiction that could have come from the pen of a seasoned professional. Robert E. Howard was a fan and it seems he might have even taken notes from Lamb's swashbuckling heroes when he created Conan the Barbarian. Highly recommended.
