Publisher's Weekly called Baroness Elizabeth Martineau des Chesnez's (1829-?) Lady Green Satin a "very delicious little juvenile." The introduction is by Clara Whitehill Hunt (1871-1958), who was a pioneering American children's librarian who also wrote children's books. The volume was illustrated by Winifred Bronhall.
